Nut job Mississippi state senator Chris McDaniel is running for U. S. senator against GOP incumbent Thad Cochran and tapes keep surfacing from the radio show McDaniel used to host, where he functioned as a two-bit Rush.
In the latest one, he claims that American Muslims are “just looking for an excuse to hate” the U. S.
And you, Chris, are delighted to keep providing one.
The father of Ibragim Todashev, the friend of Tamerlan Tsarnaev who was shot and killed while being questioned by the FBI in Orlando, says his son was murdered to keep him from talking.
Todashev, who we now know was unarmed, was shot seven times, including once in the back of the head.
Rush Limbaugh says we don’t have to worry that President Obama will be impeached.
Not because he doesn’t deserve to be, but because “the American people are not going to tolerate the first black president being removed from office.”

Over at WorldNetDaily, they are “reporting” that John Brennan, Obama’s nominee for CIA Director, is a Muslim. They say he converted when he was CIA station chief in Saudi Arabia in the 90’s.
Well, it makes sense that our Muslim president would pick a fellow Muslim to head the CIA.

It’s not just Huma Abedin coming under attack by the batshit wing of the GOP.
In Tennessee, Republican Governor Bill Haslam is under siege by the crazies in his party for appointing Samar Ali to be international director of Tennessee’s Department of Economic and Community Development.
Ali, who grew up in Tennessee as the daughter of two Arab Muslim doctors, is a graduate of Vanderbilt University (where she was president of the student body) and Vanderbilt Law, worked in private law practice, and was a White House Fellow.
No one is questioning her qualifications for the job, they are questioning her loyalty to the United States!
This garbage is coming from the same source as the Huma Abedin attacks — ultra-right fringe character Frank Gaffney and his Center for Security Policy.
Ed Rollins, who ran Michele Bachmann’s presidential campaign, has called her out for her ridiculous and shameful attack on Huma Abedin, claiming that Abedin is a secret agent for the Muslim Brotherhood. Rollins has demanded that Bachmann apologize:
“You should stand on the floor of the House and apologize to Huma Abedin and to Secretary Clinton and to the millions of hardworking, loyal, Muslim Americans for your wild and unsubstantiated charges.”
Don’t hold your breath, Ed.
Bachmann (R – Batshitland) has responded: “I will not be silent as this administration appeases our enemies instead of telling the truth about the threats our country faces.”
Someone needs to tell the truth about the threat our country faces from people like Bachmann.
When it was revealed that Marco Rubio had been born a Catholic, but was a Mormon from about ages 8 to 13 when his family lived in Nevada, before going back to being a Catholic again in Florida, it was a one-day, who-cares story.
President Obama lived in Indonesia with his mother and stepfather for a shorter time than Rubio was a Mormon, but during some of those same childhood years. Yet much is made of Obama’s time there and exposure to Islam, with all this talk about it being during his formative, impressionable years.
If it’s a nothing story about Rubio and Mormonism, why is it a big deal about Obama and Islam? That question was directed at you, Fox News. No one says Rubio is a “secret” Mormon.
As for Rubio being Mitt’s Veep, I don’t see it as a “two Mormon” problem, I see it as a “two slick guys” problem. Both of them are slick and smarmy by themselves. Put them together and the whole becomes greater than the sum of its parts, and you’ve got a presidential ticket oozing slickness. You don’t want the two of them on a stage together. Not a good vibe.
Newt stokes the “Obama as Muslim” meme:

A new PPP poll shows that very few voters in Alabama and Mississippi believe that President Obama is a Christian.
In Alabama, 45% said he that he is Muslim, 41% said they didn’t know, and only 14% said that he is Christian.
In Mississippi, 52% said that he is Muslim, 36% said they didn’t know, and only 12% said that he is Christian.
Not that President Obama was expecting to carry Alabama or Mississippi, but still…
Evangelical preacher Franklin Graham has a lot of influence and credibility because he is the son of Billy Graham, who has had access to all of our presidents since Truman and has been a serious spiritual adviser to some of them.
Today Franklin Graham said that he couldn’t state “categorically” that President Obama isn’t a Muslim “because Islam has gotten a free pass under Obama.”
When will the GOP/conservatives/Evangelicals realize that this “Obama is a secret Muslim” campaign doesn’t help them win their own campaigns and is in fact counter-productive?
The true religious fanatic in this race is Santorum.
