New CNN president Jeff Zucker is trying to fix the flailing network. I would say he’s off to a good start by firing James Carville and Mary Matalin, as well as Red State’s Erick Erickson, who is moving to Fox News where he belongs.

Right’s Racist Debate Analysis
The last time we checked in with Erick Erickson from Red State (and also a CNN contributor), he was tweeting from the Democratic convention, “First night of the Vagina Monologues in Charlotte going as expected.”
Today, writing about last night’s debate, he shifts — effortlessly — from sexism to racism:
“One last point — Obama seemed very angry last night throughout the debate. … Several times, on the stage, Mitt Romney commanded and the President followed. Romney led the President and I think it showed to undecided voters. Romney, at one point, commanded the President shut up and sit down and the President did so like a dog told to sit. It was masterful.”
So there you have two racist stereotypes in one short paragraph. We have Obama as angry black man. Then we have Obama as subservient, inferior black man obeying his superior, the white man. Erickson chooses the word “masterful” — as in master and slave.
These right wingers can’t even write a simple debate commentary without revealing the real reason they can’t stand our President.

Lily Ledbetter spoke that night.
Michelle Obama spoke that night.
Tammy Duckworth, who lost both legs and part of her right arm piloting a helicopter struck by a grenade in Iraq, spoke that night. She is running for Congress in Illinois against Joe “You lie” Walsh.
CNN needs to fire this dick.

Right-Wing Blogger Erick Erickson Says Non-Crazy Stuff
Prominent right-wing blogger Erick Erickson of Red State is taking another look at Jon Huntsman because he thinks the other candidates are a “pretty pathetic lot.” He’s got that right.
Back in May Erickson wrote an anti-Huntsman screed called, “Why I Will Not Support Jon Huntsman.” Of course, back then, it looked as if the GOP might get some less crazy, better qualified, more plausible candidates than we have now.
Erickson absolutely skewers Mitt Romney:
“Mitt Romney, on the other hand, is a man devoid of any principles other than getting himself elected. As much as the American public does not like Barack Obama, they loathe a man so fueled with ambition that he will say or do anything to get himself elected. Mitt Romney is that man.”
Mittens was counting on that blue plaid shirt to make him seem sincere, but Erickson knows the Emperor of Bain has no clothes.
