Quarantine Confusion Continues

New Jersey Gov. Chris Christie is releasing, Kaci Hickox, a nurse who recently returned from West Africa to her home state of Maine, where that state will decide how she should be monitored for Ebola.  Returning residents of New Jersey will still be subject to a 21-day quarantine.

Meanwhile, the Joint Chiefs of Staff want all troops returning from West Africa to undergo a mandatory 21-day quarantine, putting them at odds with President Obama.

Prisoner #1 has been release from the Christie Concentration Camp! Just one more example of why Chris Christie is not ready for prime time. It is a violation of a private citizen’s civil right to force them into mandatory quarantine when they have no symptoms. However, as a member of the military they are GI’s (government issue) and they don’t have those same rights. If the military wants to set up a base where all returning troops are sent for 21 days, well then that is what they signed up for. They go where the military orders them to go.
