That Better Be Some Speech

President Obama had better give one helluva speech justifying a Syrian strike on Tuesday night.

As of now, USA Today shows 22 senators as yes votes, 19 as no, with the rest undecided.   They show 22 congressmen as yes, and 130 as no, with the rest undecided. There are currently 433 seats in the House, since two seats are vacant.

The Washington Post shows 23 senators as yes, 17 as no, 10 as leaning no, and 50 as undecided.  They show 25 congressmen as yes, 111 as no, 116 as leaning no, and 181 as undecided.  So if the leaning no don’t change, you’ve got a ten-vote margin for a majority to defeat the resolution.
