Researchers at the Washington University Medical School in St. Louis say that bee venom kills the HIV virus without hurting healthy cells.

They are close to starting clinical trials on a topical gel to prevent initial infections.

And it might be possible to develop injections that destroy the virus in HIV-positive people.

How exciting is this?
