    In the movie Gladiator, the Russell Crowe character, Maximus Desimus Meridius, at one point says to his antagonist Comodus, played superlatively by Joaquim Phoenix,
    “The time for honoring yourself has passed.”
    Now what modern day slippery politician could that be said to today?
