GDP Growth Not Enough to Help Unemployment or Obama

The Commerce Dept. revised GDP growth for the second quarter (April to June) slightly upward, from 1.5% to 1.7%.  First quarter growth was 2%.

GDP growth has to exceed 2% for unemployment to fall.

GDP growth is expected to be sluggish for the rest of the year.
