So here is my theory: Mitt knew EXACTLY what he was doing with that remark. He needs to keep the “conservative base” (ie: lunatic fringe) engaged and enraged, so he can get out the vote. Look for more of these “slips” of the tongue.
I agree.
Just like he knew exactly what he was doing back in prep school when he held down that kid and cut his hair. Tossed it off as a joke. The joke will be on you, Willard, when your delusion of adequacy comes crashing down in November 6.
