Now billionaire Jon Huntsman, Sr. (whose son’s presidential campaign flamed out pretty spectacularly) is calling on fellow Mormon Mitt to release more tax returns. Mitt and Huntsman, Jr. were rivals to head the 2002 Salt Lake City Olympics.
We’ve already seen the fighting between Mitt and Mormon Harry Reid. In fact, some are guessing that the source who told Reid that Mitt didn’t pay taxes for ten years is none other than Jon Huntsman, Sr.

I saw Huntsman mentioned and felt the irresistible urge to do a plug for him. He’s been on my mind lately since Mitt seems to be such an incredibly bad candidate.
I was really very sad that he didn’t do better in the Republican primaries–he was by far the most qualified candidate, but the Republicans don’t seem to like him because he’s too moderate. Which, of course they would feel about the one with a good head on his shoulders.
I do hope we hear more of him in coming years. Incredible record on trade and business growth, AND on protecting the environment and investing in education…almost can’t believe we get that in the same politician. Koch gave him an A+ on taxes but an F on spending. He must be perfect.
…and I’m not even a Republican.
He’s the Republican I wanted to vote for, but he wasn’t left on the ballot by the time it got around to my state.
