Rick Santorum announced that he has “suspended” his campaign. That’s just a technicality so he can continue raising money to pay off his debts.
As White Sox announcer Ken Harrelson would say, “He gone!”
Mittens has the nomination, the GOP has a big millstone around its neck.

It’s the miracle of America that ironically allows one so unqualified to aspire to the presidency of the United States.
But he couldn’t have done it alone. The reallly very scary thing is that he wouldn’t have gotten so far without the support of the multitudes of so many like minded morons.
This is a man who would have you believe that he is not only holier than thou, but holier than the pope.
If he could only share a little of the love and compassion he has for his ill child Bella with the legions of same sex couples who love each other no less than he professes to love his wife, he would be a better person.
If he could only understand that a woman’s mind and body belong to her alone and is not a subject for political debate and legislation, he would be a better person.
But he cannot do and feel these things because he is the product of the nineteenth century with a sprinkling of sixteenth century thought.
Machiavelli’s “prince” is far less deceptive than this man.
He has no real grip on the complexities of foreign policy, the economy, societal progress and the proper path for America to follow. He would not lead us by the still waters with righteousness for his name’s sake. He would lead us into conflict and social upheaval the likes of which the world has never seen.
He went medieval on America for the past nine months or so and now thankfully, he will retreat back into the oblivion from which he sprouted, to where he truly belongs, and to where he can harm no one.
And let us all say, Amen!
