In Molly Ball’s piece “What Do GOP Voters See in Newt Gingrich?” up at The Atlantic, she says he has a “multifarious” persona.
She’s got the “farious” part right, I’d just preface it with a “ne.”
As you’d expect from the title, it’s a very short article, since the answer to what voters see is “not much.”
Embattled Farmers 
Newt Gingrich, a man just so full of himself.
He’s eaten too much of Fannie Mae’s pie.
He’s hard to look at, as is the empty suit Romney , and the empty mind Cain.
Perry doesn’t bother me anymore.
He’s as stupid as a post and not worth thinking about. Boy those Texans (who voted for him) are morons.
