Christie to Keynote

New Jersey Gov. Chris Christie will deliver the keynote address at the GOP convention in Tampa next month.

For anyone still thinking he might get picked for veep, even though he hasn’t been on the short lists lately, this definitely means he won’t.

He’ll attract a large audience for his speech.  And it will be much better than Mitt’s.

Let’s not be so hasty. There’s plently of time for things to get so bad for Romney, he doesn’t get the nod.

By the way, why do you call him Mitt? His first name is Willard. The right thing to do is to not fall into his familiar self-naming trap of “Call me Mitt, everyone else does.”

Calling him Romney is more than enough respect for a man who deserve’s none.

He is no Ward Cleaver though he’d like you to believe he is.

    • Mitt would have to be pushed into taking himself out. From everything we know about him, that’s extremely unlikely. But it is striking that so many in his party are turning on him before he’s been officially nominated. I can’t recall anything like this between someone’s clinching the needed delegates and the convention.

They’ve realized that wanting is often better than having. Buyers remorse.

      • I think the domino effect is in. The tax returns and the false resignation as CEO of Bain along with his own party turning on him, I don’t think it will be long before he finds himself in the inexorable vortex.
As Yogi Berra would say, it’s not over until it’s over, and he’ll be saying that soon.
And whe he goes down, I’m getting myself a lobster cap and heading for Barker’s.
